Review Process

International Archives of Dental Sciences is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics. All submitted manuscripts undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure the academic integrity, originality, and quality of the research we publish.

1. Editorial Assessment

Upon submission, all manuscripts are first reviewed by the editorial team to assess their alignment with the scope of the journal and adherence to submission requirements. Manuscripts that do not meet the basic editorial standards may be returned to the authors without peer review.

2. Reviewer Assignment

Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are assigned to at least two independent experts in the relevant field. Reviewers and authors remain anonymous to each other throughout the review process to preserve impartiality.

3. Review Criteria

Reviewers are expected to evaluate submissions based on the following academic criteria:

  • Scientific originality and contribution to the field
  • Clarity of research objectives and questions
  • Appropriateness and transparency of methodology
  • Validity and interpretation of results
  • Relevance and completeness of references Reviewers may recommend one of the following: acceptance, revision (minor or major), or rejection. All reviews must be constructive and evidence-based.

4. Editorial Decision

Final decisions are made by the editorial board after thorough consideration of the reviewers’ comments and recommendations. In the case of revisions, authors are invited to address the feedback and resubmit a revised version along with a detailed response to reviewers.

5. Ethical Compliance

All submitted research involving human participants, animals, or sensitive data must comply with institutional and international ethical standards. Authors are required to provide ethical approval documentation where applicable.

6. Confidentiality and Transparency

The peer review process is strictly confidential. Reviewers’ identities are not disclosed to authors, and all submitted materials are treated with the highest level of confidentiality. Editorial and peer review correspondence is retained for audit and quality control.
